Temperature controlled storage units are not a highly requested service so you may have to do some work to find one in your area. The simple fact of the matter is that the vast majority of storage units are the standard “garage style” units with no climate controls other than the temperature of the building. While they are not as common as regular storage units, it is well worth the time to find a climate controlled unit if you have any belongings that necessitate it. Some of them also offer humidity control, which is a perk if you have anything that could be adversely affected by the amount of water vapor in the surrounding air.
Another benefit you’ll find with a climate controlled storage unit is that they tend to be much cleaner than other types of storage. Regular air flow means there is less dust floating around, which means the air is cleaner. They also tend to be more tightly sealed, which guards against dust and other particles that could potential cause damage.
