Hiring Movers To Disassemble Furniture

One of the many things that full service moving companies provide is furniture disassembly, though it’s not something that many people have front of mind when they’re moving. With everything else that goes into moving, from planning to packing and executing the move, breaking down larger pieces of furniture often goes overlooked. 

While it’s true that most items in the house do not need to be disassembled when moving, there are some things that will in most cases. For the most part, this includes items like large dining room tables, entertainment centers, vanities, bed frames, wardrobes, armoires, exercise equipment, and various types of shelving units.

Disassembling larger furniture pieces is relatively easy to do on your own if you feel comfortable doing so, but for many people that are moving, the simple solution is to have a moving crew handle the job while they’re loading up your other belongings. 

The above mentioned items are the most common that need to be broken down before moving, but things like narrow doorways and stairways may also necessitate that movers disassemble other pieces of furniture so that they can be more easily moved if they need to fit through smaller spaces. Another consideration is furniture that has a glass component which needs to be removed before moving since there is a higher risk of damage.
