Morris County was founded on March 15, 1739 and it received its name from Colonel Lewis Morris, New Jersey’s former British governor. However, prior to the arrival of European settlers, the area was occupied by the Lenape Native Americans. In the early 1600s, the Dutch began surveying the area eventually establishing the New Netherland colony from 1611 to 1614. This zone included much of Northern New Jersey. They established forts and traded with the Native Americans until a series of wars broke out around 1643.

Years of hostility between the Dutch and Native Americans prevented anyone from truly colonizing the Morris County region. Types of New York to Houston movers

Local movers: charging about $30 per hour, you have the local movers. These local Morris County movers only take part in moving within 100 miles and they are popularly called the intrastate movers. They are only under the authority of the law of the state they operate in and so a USDOT number is not required.

Long-distance movers: for distance that exceed 100 miles, the service of the long-distance movers with a moving truck is required. The total moving charge is calculated according to the total weight of the items to be moved as well as the distance. For 1000miles, moving a pound of items will cost $0.85. Long-distance movers require a USDOT number from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Tip: if you want to reduce some cost, lose some of the unnecessary items.

Commercial movers: as complicated as this type of moving may be, there is a more complex arm of movers who come highly trained and with advanced moving technology to make the moving process easy. Best commercial movers are hired to move businesses, shops, offices, and warehouses from one location to another. These movers will charge according to the complexity of the task, the weight of the items, and the need for specialized tools for the moving operation.

Full service movers: not having to do anything except choosing the moving date and time are one of the many benefits given to you by the full movers. This is because they handle the entire moving process all by themselves all at a price. A full moving service will cost more than other relocations but this is the most of all the movers.

Truck rental: you will be provided with a moving truck and moving equipment to help you with the moving process if you chose to go with a DIY move but only need a truck for transportation of your packed items. This includes packing, loading, and also driving the truck to the new destination.
