Through the Ascend program, anyone who moves to West Virginia will receive $10,000 the first year they live there, paid out monthly. Another $2,000 payment is contingent on being there a second year and new residents will also receive numerous perks in free outdoor activities and equipment rental. This incentive is particular enticing for remote workers since you don’t need to be employed by a company in the state to take advantage of it.
Topeka, Kansas
Topeka offers an incentive of up to $15,000 for new residents, though there is a preference for those who work on-site rather than remotely. If you are a remote worker, you are still eligible for $10,000 if you’re a home buyer or $5,000 if you’re a renter through the Choose Topeka initiative. Workers must be employed full-time outside of Oklahoma and are eligible through the Tulsa Remote program. Northwest Arkansas

As part of the Talent Incentive program, new residents are eligible for $10,000, as well as a free bicycle or membership to museums or other arts or cultural institution.
